Tip:
Give
customized orders of service to your technicians, musicians, worship
leaders, etc.
The
issue:
You deal
with different groups of people every week in planning worship: technicians,
musicians, worship leaders, desktop publishers, etc. Each one of them
would benefit from a customized order of service, instead of wading
through details that don't apply to them.
Solution:
Use worship planning software such as Service Designer to do ONE session
of planning, with multiple types of targeted output.
 |
Bring
up Service Designer's WorshiPlan and fill in the overall details
such as date, leaders, theme, etc. Click the Detail View button
to move to the next screen.
|
Add
new events in the service by Right-clicking and selecting "add
line". Now add songs and hymns that you have
"tagged" as ones you wish to use from Service Designer's
libraries.
|
 |
 |
Copyright
reporting is automatic. Click the "Record Date" button
so that the usage history for this hymn or song will be updated. |
 |
| You
can control which verses of a song you do at each service without
affecting the "master" copy of the song's lyrics. Notice
the buttons above for "Tech" and "Spoken"...these
can be used to give freeform notes to your technicians and other
worship leaders. |
 |
| Above
are several events in this order of service. Service Designer fills
in all the relevant details about songs & hymns, including page
references, keys, lyrics, etc. Notice in this window the button
for Musicians' Notes. This will open a freeform window for notes
to your musicians. |
 |
Once
your order of service is done, you can select multiple types of
output. |
 |
| Musicians'
Notes (see above) include the freeform notes you have made to your
musicians, and things like keys and song maps. Technicians' notes
(see below) include the freeform notes you have made to them, and
things like timings, lyrics and other relevant cues. |
