Song Projection

Tips 'n' Trix

Tip:
Use your Pre-service announcement loop to help get people into their seats before service starts.

The issue:
People don't always get to their seats before service starts, adding to commotion at the beginning of worship.

Solution:
Use your pre-service announcement loop to help get people to their seats so service can start on time.

Here's how:
During the week, get a digital camera and take pictures of people in events that are going on around your church: teen bible study, choir rehearsal, bicycle club, etc.

Setup a pre-service announcement loop in whatever software you use for projection. The example here is MediaShout. In between each announcement slide, insert one of the casual pictures you shot using the digital camera. In MediaShout, use the Insert>Graphic command. At the end of the loop, insert a Script Control cue instructing the computer to go back to the first cue when it reaches the last slide of the announcements.

To have MediaShout advance the slides automatically using a timer, select all of the slides in the loop, RIGHT-click and select "Properties". Select "Timed Advance" on the Content tab, and specify the number of seconds.

How will this get people into their seats on time?
It may be viewed as a crass manipulation of people's natural vanity, but they will begin to show up early to see if they are on the screens that week!

Added bonus!
Visitors will see on the screens that there are many activities in which to participate going on around your church during the week!
