Scanning

Tip:
Scan music and produce an accompaniment track in
MP3 (or WAV) format.
The
issue:
You need
to have your praise team learn a song quickly. You want to e-mail them
an MP3 file so they can practice with it (using their iPod or computer-based
MP3 player).
 |
Scan
the music into SharpEye using the File>Acquire function. Once
it has been scanned, use the Read>Read function. SharpEye will
display the music as illustrated at left. |
| Use
the File>MusicXML>Save As function to save the scan in MusicXML
format. Make note of where you saved this file so you can find it
in the next step. |
 |
 |
Use
the File>Open function in Sibelius or the File>MusicXML
Import function in Finale to bring in the XML file you
saved in the previous step. |
If using
Sibelius, click the CD icon on the toolbar to export as an audio
file that you can attach and e-mail.
|
 |
 |
If using Finale, select File>Save Special>Save
as Audio File, then specify whether you want to save as MP3 (compressed)
or WAV (uncompressed). |
Now you can attach the resulting MP3 file to an e-mail
and send to your praise team.
