Josh Empson is Chief Executive Officer of Tempo and Chair of its Board of Directors. He is an experienced media investor, and since 2013 has served as a Managing Director at Providence Equity Partners, Tempo’s parent. At Providence, he led the creation of Tempo and several other investments in leading entertainment firms. Previously, Josh co-founded NantCapital, and before that served as a Managing Director at Forstmann Little & Co., where he also focused on media and consumer investing. He began his career at NBC and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University. Currently, he serves on the board of Providence’s European Media Partnership, as a Trustee of New York Public Radio and the classical music station WQXR, and on the Advisory Board of Nautil.us, an educational science publisher.
